Gene Pease is a pioneer and thought leader in human capital analytics and human performance. Gene has 25 years of experience as a CEO and board member, managing organizations ranging from startup to mid-cap and serving on boards in both the public and non-profit arenas.

Gene is a sought-after thought leader and presenter, and is regularly on the speaking docket on webinars and at industry events. Gene’s experience in analytics, human performance, design, wearables and technology makes him uniquely qualified to thrive in this new world of big data, prescriptive analytics and artificial intelligence. He is an innovator who uses analytics to turn data into useful information that improves both employee and organizational performance.

Gene founded and was CEO of Capital Analytics, dba Vestrics, one of the first predictive analytics technology platforms focused exclusively on human performance. In 2016, Vestrics was acquired by Ultimate Software (ULTI). Under Gene’s leadership, Vestrics consistently received industry recognition: 2015 Aragon’s Hot Vendor list (IBM Watson was the only other HR vendor honored); 2015 and 2014 Brandon Hall award winners; 2013 CIOReview’s Top 20 Most Promising Data Analytics companies; 2012 Bersin Learning Leader; and multiple Gartner recognitions including 2008 Cool Vendor of the Year.

Gene has written numerous trade articles and blogs, in addition to three books on people predictive analytics, published in the Wiley and SAS Business Series.

Prior to Vestrics, Gene ran two of the top five companies in sports licensing, Chalkline and Trench, where he was both CEO and board member. During this same period, he was the catalyst for the creation of two private ventures in partnership with the National Hockey League. In his early career, Gene focused on product development with industry leaders Levi Strauss and Jantzen.

Gene earned his MBA with honors in entrepreneur and venture management from the University of Southern California. He holds a BA in architecture from the University of Cincinnati.
