I’m writing to thank you for supporting my successful campaign for a seat on the Chapel Hill Town Council. Over a hundred citizens helped in the campaign by contributing money, building our website, organizing the mailings, prepping me for the forums, putting up and taking down campaign signs, and generally giving me tons of moral support.
Running for a public office for the first time was an overwhelming task, and I could not have made it through the last two and one-half months without your support. I am humbled by the generosity of our group, for both your financial contributions, and investment in your time.
I’d especially like to thank Rosemary Waldorf, Fred Black and Al Rimer for their wise council, and Roland Smith for the difficult task of campaign Treasurer. And I’d like to thank my wife Pam, and my daughters Tiffany and Heather, for their campaign assistance and continued love and support.
You gave me your trust by your contribution and vote, so I hope I will exceed your expectations in the next four years.
