About Gene Pease
Gene A. Pease is Founder, CEO, President and Board Member of Capital Analytics, Inc. Capital Analytics, a privately owned software and consulting company in Durham, North Carolina, has made breakthrough discoveries in linking the investments in human capital to business outcomes. Capital Analytics is creating and applying innovative methods and robust technologies to measure, improve, and optimize the human capital investments organizations make each year. The company has significant experience and education in this field and owns three patents, and has one pending, to support its proprietary technology, HumanCapitalRX. They have piloted projects with over twenty-five Fortune 200 companies, including U.S.Bank, Chrysler, Sun Microsystems, General Electric, Verizon, Sprint, Citibank, Key Bank, Wells Fargo and Dupont.
Capital Analytics has established a solid reputation for providing statistically accurate financial values for investments in human capital, such as training, new technologies, mentoring, leadership development and learning methods. Their approach is to use the best mathematical models and methodologies available, tempered by significant business experience, to treat any organizational initiative as an observational study. Six years of development has been invested into their groundbreaking solution.
Gene received an MBA, Summa Cum Laude, in Entrepreneur and Venture Management from the University of Southern California. He received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Architecture from the University of Cincinnati.
Mr. Pease is active in the non-profit and local community. He served on the Board and was founding Chairman of the Entrepreneurs Partnership of the Triangle Community Foundation. In the community of Chapel Hill where he resides, for the past twelve years he has been a Board member, three years as President, of the Gimghoul Historic District. In 2005 he was Chairman of the Chapel Hill Citizens Budget Committee, and also was Vice-Chairman of the Horace Williams Citizens Committee. In 2004 through 2007 he sat on the Chapel Hill Planning Board. From 2006 – 2009 Mr. Pease was President of the Chapel Hill Library Foundation. In 2006- 2007 he was a member on the Library expansion Building Committee, and from 2007 – 2009 he was a Board member of the Orange County Water and Sewer Authority (OWASA).

He has been married for thirty years to Pamela Pease, artist and owner of Paintbox Press, the publishers of Pop-Up Books: The Garden is Open, Macy’s on Parade, Derby Day, and The Tour de France. They have two daughters, Tiffany, a graduate of Chapel Hill High School and UNC Chapel Hill, and is the designer director for the San Jose Mercury News; and Heather, a graduate of East Chapel Hill High School and the University of Kentucky, and is currently an account executive for the new women’s professional soccer team, the Boston Breakers.
Gene is also an avid roller hockey player in Chapel Hill and likes to race his Mini Cooper at the Virginia Raceway.
In 2008 Gene was selected as a Tech and Telecom Impact Leader by the Triangle Business Leader. Also that year Capital Analytics was selected by Gartner as a “Cool Vendor of the Year.”
In 2007 Gene was a winner of WCHL’s Village Pride Award for his contributions to the Town of Chapel Hill.
He is a frequent speaker at corporate learning conferences and in the past year has presented at several Conference Boards, CLO Symposium, Corporate University Week, and ASTD’s Day of Learning.
